I think it would be beneficial to have new hires job shadow different people on their team. Before the new professionals official start date, I think it would be a good idea to have them come in and sit with different people on their team to get a feel for the company and see how we do things. It’s a good idea for each team member to gain a little bit of knowledge of each aspect of business pertaining to whatever team they are on. For example, a new hire to PGS should take like an hour or so and shadow each position (Contract Admin, Accounts Payable, Accounts Rec., etc) to learn how everything works and how each position relates to the other. I definitely think this will help us make each other more successful at what we do and push the company in the right direction.
