EMAIL VS. MAIL

Begin adding a small slip of paper to each of the invoices/statements that we mail out saying something along the lines of, “We are moving towards a more environmentally friendly office – please email (example email) to provide the email address, along with your customer number, that you’d like all future invoices and statements to go. We appreciate your assistance in helping the environment!”

This will save us $0.47 per invoice/statement in postage alone. This doesn’t include the cost we are paying for envelopes, ink, and the wear and tear on the printer(s). If we can find out a way to automatically email the invoices and statements from our system, it would additionally save the time from whomever would be saving/emailing the invoices and statements as well.

Another plus would be that the clients would receive their invoices much quicker than waiting for the USPS.
